Coffee With the Mayor: Tehachapi’s Most Relaxed Civic Tradition

A simple monthly tradition continues bringing local residents and city leadership together over coffee and conversation.

Not everyone has time for city council meetings, and that’s okay. But if you’ve ever wanted to actually talk to local leadership without an agenda or a podium in the way, Tehachapi has something for you.

Coffee, Conversation and Community

The City of Tehachapi hosts “Coffee with the Mayor” on the third Thursday of every month, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Mountain Coffee House located at 120 S. Mill St. — and the coffee is free.

It’s a low-key, drop-in format: show up, grab a cup, and have a real conversation with your neighbors and city leaders.

The next session is May 21 — just a couple of days away. Whether you have something specific on your mind or just want to put a face to the name, it’s worth the stop.

Small Town Tradition

“This is the kind of thing that makes a small town feel like one.”

Events like this continue to reflect the community-oriented atmosphere that many residents appreciate about Tehachapi — simple opportunities for people to connect, ask questions and stay involved locally.
