Tehachapi Warriors Are Having a Season to Remember

Tehachapi High School athletics continue to make the community proud with major accomplishments in both swimming and track & field during the 2026 spring season.

It’s been a spring to celebrate for Tehachapi High School athletics. The 2026 THS Warriors Swim Team claimed the South Yosemite Mountain League championship, finishing an undefeated season — and 18 Warriors swimmers went on to compete at the CIF Division 2 championships in Bakersfield.

Warriors Swim Team Finishes Undefeated

The Warriors Swim Team capped off an impressive season by winning the South Yosemite Mountain League championship and sending 18 athletes to compete at the CIF Division 2 championships in Bakersfield.

For a smaller mountain community, Tehachapi continues to produce student athletes capable of competing at a very high level across multiple sports programs year after year.

Meanwhile, the Warriors Track & Field team won its last South Yosemite Mountain League meet and traveled to Exeter to compete in the CIF Central Section Division 3 Championships.

Community Pride

“For a small mountain community, Tehachapi consistently punches above its weight when it comes to local athletics.”

These students, coaches, and the families cheering from the bleachers are a big part of what makes this town special. The support behind local athletics continues to be one of the strongest parts of the Tehachapi community.

If you haven’t made it out to a Warriors event yet this season, there may still be time — check the school’s calendar and show up. This community shows up for each other, and our student athletes deserve the same energy back.

Warrior Pride

Tehachapi continues proving that small communities can build big athletic programs through dedication, teamwork and strong community support.
